洗濯物ピラミッド。昨日乾燥機に１ポンドしか使わなかったからね。
今日の朝９時半に家を出、ドキドキしながらニューストリート駅に向かう。果たしてジョブオッファーがあったのは、ニューストリート駅
だったのか、それとも見当違いの場所なのか．．．着いて自己紹介すると、「おお、マキ君待ってたよ」、とオーナーのハージットさん
が挨拶してくれた。かなりホットした瞬間である。さっそく着替え室に連れていってもらい（というか、男子トイレだったが）、１０時
から働くことに。最初の仕事はかなり定番の皿洗い。それから、トマトを切ったり、肉をラップしたりと色々やる。この肉
のラッビングで牧君初日から大きなヘマしちゃいました！５８グラムで計らなくてはいけないのだが、何故かあとですべて４２グラム
で計ら れていることがバレる！もちろんわざとじゃないっすよ、初日から店の肉を節約するほどロイヤルティーはまだ備わってないで
す！という ような目で素直に謝る。「今度やったら肉を計り直している時間は給料でないよ」とハージットさんからきつい一言。でも、
これ以外の仕事 はうまくいったかな。途中３０分も休憩時間が入ったし、それも無料ドリンクかつ４時間働く場合は６インチ、８時間の
場合は１２インチの サンドイッチがタダで食えるのです！なんて寛大なんでしょう、サブちゃん。セブンイレブンも見習って欲しいよね！
今日は１０時から夕方の ６時まで８時間働いた。イギリスに来てから初めての仕事。疲れたけどとても充実感があった。
余談：実は今日８時間働いたが初めの３時間が終わった後「はい、合格！今から給料でるよ！」って言われた。え？今までのって
何かの テストだったの？それって子供がよく本気でゲームしてて、負けたから「これから本番ねー」とか言うのに類似しているような．．
でも後で言ってくれて良かったかも、やる気失せてたかもしれないからね!
The laundry pyramid; I was
stingy yesterday on spending money on dryer.
Left my house today for New Street Station at half past nine, nervous about whether it was really the place I should be heading.
I introduced myself on arriving, and Hajit the manager greeted me politely; it was the right place, I was very relieved. He took me
right into the employee changing room, or more accurately, to the men's toilet. I changed my clothes, got my very fancy subway
cap on and an apron, and went back to the store. My first task was to do the washing, 'typical' I thought. This washing took
me like the whole of first hour, 'Isn't this a sandiwich shop' I grumbled (in my mind ofcourse). After that, I was showed how to cut
tomatoes and how to weigh the meat and how to wrapp them. These all sounds easy, but I made an crucial mistake on weighing
the hams, I was suppose to weigh them to 58g, but for some very mysterious reason, they were all weighed as 42grams! I
apologized in an even-though-I'm-Japanese-I-haven't-yet-got-the-loyalty-to-the-store-as-to-be-cheap-on-meat-sir kind
of way, 'If you do that again I'm not gonna pay you while you're reweighing them meat okay?' Hajit said Is that legally allowed?
I thought. But overall, I think it went okay. I was given a whole 30minutes break which seemed a lot to me and got free drinks
and whats more, free sandwiches as well! go go subway go!
I worked for 8hours from 10 to 6, and though it was tiring, I'm very happy as today was the very first time I actually worked in
UK and I actually survived!
