朝、家族に電話を入れる。一週間に一度、家族の声を聞くとやはりほっ
とする。
今日は日曜日、教会の日である。９時４０分頃家を出、ニューストリート駅へ向かう。毎週この駅を利用
しているとこの駅の列車運行システムが非常に旧式であることがはっきりと分かる。何よりも不便なのは
同時刻・同方面の電車が毎週違うプラットホームで運行されること。よって毎回いちいち電光掲示板で場所を
確認 しなくてはならない。
この前パンクシャリティ（電車の定刻発車・到着率）が駅に貼られているのを見つけた。７０パーセントと誇らしげ
に言っているのが面白可笑しかった。

family; speaking to them, yet once a week, relieves me a
lot.
Today's Sunday, church day. I left my room at 9:40 for Newstreet Station. I've been using this Station for quite
a while since last September, and it doesn't take much of a person's effort to realize how outdated this Station's
train system is. Every week when I use this Station, the platform for going to church changes, even though I'm
using exactly the same direction and time of train. There were numerous occasions when change of platform
was made five minutes before departure, and always without exception, there's some cancellation of train where
customers have to take the alternative bus service, which I once had to rely upon.
I found a punctuality rate posted at the station which, to my astonishment, proudly said something like seventy
percent!
