ジューディスの家に遊びに来た。
午後３時にバイトを切り上げ、その後近くの駅までサムが車で 迎えに来てくれた。午後６時、バーミンガムから北へ
約小一時間、Loughboroughに着く。ジューディスとサムとは夏休みに入る前に会ったきりだっ たので約１ヶ月振り
の再会となる。二人とも元気そうだった。ジューディスの両親にもとても暖かく迎えていただき、晩御飯にはとても
おいしいダック料理をいただいた。
夜、リビングでゆっくりと１ヶ月間の出来事を共に語り会う。ジューディスは道路検査の仕事をなかなか楽しんでいる
ようだ。サムは来週の水曜日から一週間ほどニューヨークに行くらしい。３人でいると決して話題に尽きない。
友達とはなんてすばらしいものか！
Came to Judith's house.
After working till three, Sam came to Birmingham to pick me up at the station by his car. At 6'oclock, we
arrived at Loughborough which was one hour drive up north from Birmingham. I'm very glad about seeing them
as I haven't met them since the start of summer holiday. Judith's parents were very warm and kind; they made
us delicous ducks for dinner.
At night, we talked about what's been happening during this past month; we never ran out of what to talk about.
Judith seem to be enjoying her road inspector's job and Sam, his job at a petrol station.
Oh how wonderful friends are!
