Came to Portsmouth to see how Grigory was doing.

From Basingstoke, It was about an hour and twenty minutes ride to Portsmouth.

Arrived 9:40 in the morning and Grigory came to pick me up at the station.

He looked well and seemed to be keeping up to pace with his work.

He showed me around the town of Portsmouth which he did extremely well...

'So where are we Greg?'

'Rrrr, I think we are in something road'

He took me to the Charles Dickens museum but it was closed today;

my 'Great Expectations' was outrightly turned down in front of his birth place.

But the weather was nice and after resting at his house for a while, we decided to have a look around the sea side.

The smell of the sea was soft and the air was so refreshing.

I don't know when I last stood in front of a sea, but I certainly missed it.

As we walked along the beach, we talked a lot, about our work and our managers and colleagues and life in general and

and how difficult it is to save money and his house mates and his family and my family and etc

We decided to walk up to the famous historical docklands.

Along the way, we went passed a light house which suddenly gave me a nostalgia.

And there was a massive anchor of the Lord Nelson's ship; yes, Portsmouth is a city of naval history.

We had a quick lunch at a fish and chip shop, it was good.

After walking for nearly an hour, we arrived at the docklands.

As we entered the dockland, H.M.S. Warrior suddenly appeared on the left; they said this is the first ship which hull was built with metals.

As we went further into the docklands, we saw Lord Nelson's H.M.S. Victory laid down up on the land.

The ship looked formidable, with holes for guns built all around it (104 of them as I later learnt).

We decided to have a look at the Royal Navy Museum standing right opposite of the Victory.

There was a small theatre in one of the museums, which explained Nelson's achievements and some

backgrounds on the battle of Trafalgar, this I found very amusing.

There were a lot of exhibitions of miniature ships and good explanation of how the life on the sea was like.

It was still raining when we came out of the museum, so decided to just chill out in Starbucks.

We talked a lot, about our personal developments and Tolstoy and how to spend holidays and etc.

It certainly was an enjoyable day.

Took the 8'oclock train back home.

I'll see you around Grigory.
