７５ポンドとかなりお得だったんだが、どいうことか、心の奥底にぼったくられた時の重い気持ちが残っているんだ。
乗り心地や見かけは、「すぐぶっ壊れますよ」と言った感じだが、デザインがそんな欠点を埋めてくれている。
前には、スタイリッシュな籠が紐で結び付けられている。紐で！
この籠は機能性にも優れている。自動警報装置がついているんだ！
ボコボコした道を走ると、サルのように右左に揺れ、ものすごい音をたてると同時に前方にいる歩行者に注意を呼びかけてくれる。
全体のデザインは、オードリー・ヘップバーン主演の「ローマの休日」を元にしているんだと思う。
よって、「プリンセス号」と名付けよう。
I bought a second-hand bicycle yesterday.
It looks very old, but I am confident that this is part of a 'strategic design'; it's kind of a camouflage from those bicycle stealing people.
I got it for a measely seventy-five quid but somehow I have this trenchant feeling deep inside, which I get when somebody rip me off.
Although it looks and feels as though it's about to break, but the design easily compensates for such minor deficiencies.
Look, it's got a stylish basket in front, attached with a string, with a string!
This basket has got an automatic alert system; when you ride on a bumpy road,
it dangles like a crazy monkey and makes a hell of a noise, alerting the vulnerable pedestrians ahead.
I think the overall design is based on the famous film 'Roman Holiday' starring Audrey Hepburn.
So I shall name her, 'The Princess'.
