今日はパンケーキの日
パンケーキの日は四旬節に入る直前の火曜日のことで、
この日イギリス人は文字通りパンケーキを食べる。
黒砂糖とレモン汁を少々かけて、丸めて食べるのが普通らしい。
これがなかなかうまい。
それにしても、何故パンケーキの日なんだ？
夜はクリスチャン・ユニオンの聖書の学び会に参加。
Tuesday - Pancake day today.
Not knowing about the pancake day, I went to the chaplaincy in the morning to eat some pancakes. It was free! of course...
British way of eating a pancake was very creative; sprinkle a bit of brown sugar and lemon drips and roll it up.
It was not until this afternoon that I found out the reason why I had pancakes this morning.
"Did you know today is the pancake day" said my friend.
"Oh that's why!"
But wait a minute, what is the pancake day?
