日曜日 ケンブリッジ・リトリート最終日。
朝、ロック・バプテスト教会に行く。
この教会の礼拝は小学校の体育館を借りて行っている。
普段からかなりスピリット溢れる教会と思われるが、
今日は特にリトリートに参加している４０人ほどの日本人の出席で、礼拝堂は人で文字通り溢れていた。
礼拝のメッセージは 「戦争は正当化されるか」 みたいなテーマだった。
結論は、「悪を善をもって乗り越える」。なるほどね！
礼拝後、ほかの人たちはロンドンの日本人教会に行ったが
僕は月曜日の模擬面接の準備があったので、今回はパス。
午後２時にケンブリッジを後にする。
少しでも成長できただろうか。
だったらいいな。
Sunday - Last day of Cambridge Retreat
Went to the Rock Baptist Church in the morning.
This chruch uses school gym; I really like this kind of informality in churches as it makes you focus on the right things.
I know this church is full of sprit every week, but today was even more energetic I think, there being 40 additional Japanese.
The gym was literally full of people, some had to see the TV screen.
The message was about war, whether the bible justifies it or not and stuff.
The conclusion was "not to be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good", which I thought was very persuasive.
After the service, the other Japanese went to London to attend another Japanese service.
I couldn't go to this since I had to prepare for tomorrow's mock interview.
Left Cambridge at 2:00.
Did I grow up a bit through this retreat?
I really hope so.
