朝教会に行く。
今朝の礼拝開始の祈りは僕が日本語と英語でやった。
あと２ヶ月で、引越しをすると伝えたら皆さん悲しんでくれました。
午後、１時から、ドライビング・レッスン。
マークが家まで迎えにきてくれ、まずやったのが、視力テスト。
新しい眼鏡買っておいてよかったーと思った瞬間。
さて、前回運転したのが、１年以上前なので、果たしてどれほど覚えているかと心配していたが、
（実は、昨晩の夢でスイスイと運転していて、朝夢だと気づいてがっかりした）
基本的なことは覚えていた（クラッチのふみ具合など）。
「飛ばしすぎ、飛ばしすぎ！」と何回言われたことか。
「マーク、誰もこんなにのんびり運転してないよ、速度制限なんてガイドラインみたいなものでしょ」
と言おうと思ったけれど、やはり人間関係において、ファースト・インプレッションは大事だからやめておいた。
初日から、路上を運転させてくれるイギリスのシステムに万歳！
went to church in the morning
I did the opening prayer today, both in Japanese and English.
The church members seemed very sad to hear that I'm moving in two month time.
Had a driving lesson from 1pm! yes!
Marc came to pick me up at the house,
and the first thing he did was checked my eye sight.
I was like, "boy, it was a good idea to have bought new pair of glasses".
The last driving lesson being more than a year ago, I was worried to what extent I remember how to drive.
(actually, last night I dreamt about myself driving very smoothly, but when I realised in the morning that it was only a dream, I was depressed)
I sort of remembered all the basic things,
like fastening the seat belt (haha), and use of clutch and everything (which is the important bit).
I don't know how many time Marc warned me
"maki, you're speeding too much again"
"But, surely Marc, nobody drives this slow, I thought the speed limit was only a guide line"
I was going to say that, but decided not to, as first impression is always important.
Yes, this is actually going somewhere, I'll try to pass before the start of uni.
