今日、グレゴリーは仕事から休暇をとってくれたので（そう、彼は大学に通いながらフルタイムで働いている超人）、
市内観光をすることに。
メーシーズではクリスマスの飾り付けがもう行われていた。とても綺麗だった。
エンパイヤ・ステート・ビルに登ることにする。
Grigory took a day off today (yes, he's working full time while being a student, he's a superman),
so we decided to tour around the city.
Macy's had the Christmas decorations on already. It was beautiful.
We decided to go up the Empire State Building.
この街は本当に最高だ。
I just love this city.

エンパイア・ステート・ビルから歩いて２０分ぐらいのところにある、グレッグのカレッジをみせてくれた。
中はとても綺麗だったけれど、セキュリティーの理由からこれ以上は入れなかった。
After this, I visited Grigory's college, just twenty minutes away from the Empire State Building.
I couldn't go in since I didn't have a pass, but it seemed like a very clean and nice place.
セントラルパーク沿いを歩いて、メトロポリタン美術館に行くことに。
We walked along the Central Park and went to the Metropolitan Museum.
しかし、残念ながら月曜日は休館日．．．
However, being Monday, it was closed.
仕方ないので、セントラルパークを横断して、自然史博物館に行くことにする。
So, we walked across the Central Park to the Natural History Museum.
有名な恐竜の前で一枚。
Grigory took a photo of me in front of the famous dinosaur.
子供の時は胸をうきうきさせながら、観回ったんだけどなあ。
やはり大人になったのだろうか、こういうのを見ても、うきうきしない！
I used to feel so excited when I was little in this Museum, but now...
I seemed to lost some excitement along the way.... I guess I grew old.
「オールド・ニューヨーク」と題された、この展示は８年前とまったく変わっていない！

さて、自然史博物館を１時間ほどさらっと観た後、セントラルパークを歩くことに。
We spend about an hour, perhaps less, in the Museum and we just decided to walk around.
晩秋のセントラルパーク。
綺麗だった。

５番街を歩く。
感謝際前だったが、かなりクリスマスの飾りつけがあって、綺麗だった。
We walked down the Fifth Avenue.
Although it was before Thanks Giving, they had lots of Christmas decorations, it was beautiful.

グレッグは、７時から大学の授業があったので、とりあえずいったん別れた。
僕も勉強が相当遅れているので、スターバックスで２時間勉強。
エンパイア・ステートビルが綺麗だった。
Grigory had to attend a lecture from eight, so I went into the Starbucks and was studying there for two hours.
Yeah, I'm really behind on my studies...
Empire State Building was so beautiful, I almost cried.
