まったく馬鹿げたことが今日起きた。
いいえ、昨夜パソコン室の椅子を二つくっつけて３時間寝たことではありません。
晩飯のカレーをジーンズに少しこぼしてしまったことでもない。
まったく、図書館から本の返却が３時間遅れたため、１１ポンドもペナルティーをとられたことだ。
まったく、１１ポンドとは馬鹿げたお金だ。絶対に消費者保護団体のなんたらこうたら規則に反しているに違いない。
本一つについて、３０分ごとに５０ペンスも課金されるなんておかしすぎる。
もし僕がこの大学の学長になったら、
まず初めに図書館のすべての本を無料で配るね。
そうしてら、皆頭がよくなって、長期的には大学の評価があがるに違いない。
二つ目に、僕のような可愛そうな学生に奨学金をあげて
そして、三つ目、大学が無理な経営で潰れる直前になったら、
「学長としてすばらしい経験をさせてもらいました。しかし、
これからは家族と過ごす時間を大切にしたいと思います」
と言って逃げます。素晴らしいエグジット戦略だ。
はいはい、あと課題は３つでサンタクロースに会える。
A stupidist thing happened today.
No, it's not the fact that I slept for three hours in the computer room using two chairs,
No, it's not the fact that I spilled some curry on my jeans,
But yes, it's the fact that I was fined 11 quid on penalty for returning the books three hours late.
11 pounds, what kind of stupid amount is that?
Surely, this is against some consumer protection act or whatever you call it.
For each book I borrowed, they charged me 50p for every half an hour late, this is crazy, it's a rip off!
If I become the chancellor of this university,
the first thing I do is generously give out all the books in the library for free and then
everybody becomes so intelligent that in the long-term, the university will benefit.
Then the second thing I do is to give out generous scholarships to students like me who thinks
"oh, if I had 11 pounds, I could have bought 31 snicker bars"
And the last thing I do, just before the university go bust, I say to my staff
"It's been a rewarding experience being the chancellor, but I feel it is now time to spend more time with my family"
that's my exit strategy, welcome to my world.
Anyway, three more courseworks to go,
then I can meet Santa Clause.
