この旅館ちとせは予想以上によい所だった。
お風呂も部屋についていたし、お茶もついていた。
何よりも、旅館のおばちゃんがとても親切だった。
旅館を発つときは、汗をかくだろうと、二人それぞれにタオルをくれた。
サムも布団でよく眠れたようだ。
This minshuku Chitose was a very nice one.
There was a shower in the room and tea and some snacks were served too.
Moreover, an old lady at this minshuku was so nice and polite.
She even gave us each a towel to bring, so that we may wipe off our sweat during the day.
You don't get that in a normal hotel do you?
民宿の近くにあるカフェでトーストを食べる。
We had some toast in a cafe near our minshuku.
再び京阪線の電車に乗り、大阪へ向かう。
午後一時半から、大阪駅のヨドバシカメラ前で、アストン大学の大阪出身メンバーズ、YusukeとEmilieと待ち合わせる。
ヨドバシカメラ・ビルの最上階にあるお好み焼き屋で昼食を食べる。
電気屋の中にレストランがあることにサムは驚いていた。
サムが、
「で、やはりレストランの食べ物もハイテクなのかい？」と冗談で聞いていた。
Yusukeがサムにお好み焼きが何かを説明した時に、「ジャパニーズ・ピザ」といったのは面白かった。
確かに、ピザのように見える。
僕は海老とイカの海鮮お好み焼きにした。
このお好み焼きは感動的だった。
まさかこれほどうまい食べ物が存在するとは．．．
ジャパニーズ・ピザ万歳だ。
We got on the Keihan train back to Osaka.
We met up with Yusuke and Emilie at one thirty at Osaka Station.
Emile is also stuying in Aston Uni.
So it was like a mini Aston reunion, an international one too!
We decided to have lunch at an Okonomiyaki restaurant in the very top floor of Yodobashi-Camera (an electronic shop).
Sam was surprised to see lots of restaurants in the electronic shop, and he goes,
"So, is everything in these restaurant high-tech too?", which was quite funny.
Okonomiyaki means "Cook whatever you like" in Japanese, but Yusuke simply put "Japanese pizza", which is quite right.
I had shrimp and squid okonomiyaki.
It was so good, perhaps Osaka does have the best food in Japan.
サムは、海老と牛肉を入れて食べた。
Yusukeは豚海老。
こうして考えると、「お好み焼き」の名前の所以は、自分が好きなものを入れて焼くっていうことのなのか。
Emilieは焼きそばを注文。
Sam had it with shrimps and beef.
Yusuke had it with pork and shrimp.
And Emilie had a "yakisoba" (which means cooked noodles).
昼食後、HEP FIVEというビルに行き、ビルの上にある観覧車に乗る。
After lunch, we went to a shopping mall called HEP FIVE.
We decided to go up the big wheel built on top of HEP FIVE building.
なぜかクジラがいた。
A whale, don't ask me why it's here.
Emilieは遊園地でバイトしているため、一見慣れているようにみえるが、
観覧車が登る時に、韓国で起きた事故のことを自分で話した後、
「マジで」怖がっていた。
I thought Emilie was used to amusement park rides, working in one now,
but she taught us about the accident that happend in Korea and has frightened herself.
Which was kind of funny.
ビルの上に建っている分、結構高いところまで上がっていく。
大阪の街を一望する。
大阪城も見えた。
The wheel is on top of a tall building, so the view was quite astonishing.
We were able to see Osaka Castle too.
HEP FIVEにある、ゲームセンターで遊んだ。
YusukeがマリモッコリというUFOキャッチャーの人形を「Samの部屋に飾らせたい」と切に願い、
かなり頑張ったが、結局とれなかった。
After the wheel, we went to a games arcade (we call it "game centre" in Japan).
Yusuke wanted to give this little doll called "Mari-mokkori" to Sam and tried really hard,
but we couldn't catch it.
確かに、この人形がイギリスのサムの部屋にあったら面白い。
It would be very funny if Sam had this doll in his room in the UK.
4人でホッケーのゲームをした。
関西チームVS関東兼イギリスチーム。
17対16で負けた。
We played a hockey game.
Kansai team VS Kantou and the UK team
We lost 17 to 16.
It was a good game though.
極めつけに、プリクラを4人で撮った。
これはいいお土産になった。
And to finish our day off, we took "Purikura" (which is a shortened English "print club").
This was a good souvenir.
別れ際に大阪駅前で記念撮影。
Just before we said goodbye, we took photos in front of the bustling Osaka station.
It was too bustling that I had to take it quickly and hence the image blurred.
Good trip.
