昨日とはうってかわり、雨だ。
レンタカーを借り、ヨークシャー・デールズへ移動。
今回はナビを借りたので、比較的スムーズにいけた（前回は大変だった。。。）。
北へ行くにつれ、雨が弱くなってきた。
高速道路M6をKendalの辺りで降り、そこから細い道路を通って東へ向かう。
Hawesという村で途中休憩し、クリーム・ティーを食べた。
It was raining in the morning.
We rented a car and drove up north to Yorkshire Dales.
We added a satelite navigation system as an option, so it was failry easy to get there.
The rain weakened as we drove northward.
We got off from M6 near Kendal and drove through a smaller road towards east.
We had cream teas at Hawes.
B&BのあるAysgarthに６時前に到着。
We arrived at the B&B in Aysgarth at around six.
少し休憩した後、ヨークシャーに住んでいる大学の友人Maddyのお勧めのAysgarth Falls（滝）をみてきた。
あまり滝らしくない滝だったけど、連日の雨で水嵩が増し、迫力はあった。
「水の色がどうして茶色いのか」と店員に聞くと、
どうやらPeat（泥炭）が削られて流れているかららしかった。
After a short rest, we went to see the Aysgarth Falls, as recommended by my university friend Maddy.
It didn't look that impressive, but we were all intrigued by the colour of the water.
I asked a shop keeper why the water is so brown and learnt from him it was the colour of peat soil.
晩御飯はB&Bの近くにあった、パブで食べた。
We had dinner in a pub near the B&B.
夜のニュースは、イギリス南部各地で起きている洪水のニュースでもちきりだった。
どうやら、雨を逃れてきたらしい。
他のニュースといったら、ハリーポッターの最終巻が発売されることぐらいだ。
The evening news covered mainly about the flood happening all over the country.
It looks like we just managed to escaped from the rain.
