Hawesにある教会で礼拝をまもった。
出席者の少なさに父母共に驚いていた。
Sunday
We went to church in Hawes.
My parents were surprised how small number of people attended the service.
Hawesから高速道路があるところまで、時々停まりながら、写真をとった。
今日は晴れで、すごくきれいだった。
やはり、ブルーが少しでも入ると、写真はきれいだな。
Along the road from Hawes to the motorway, we stopped many times and took photos.
The sky was beautiful today.
Sedbergで食料を買い、ヨークシャーを去った。
僕もこれでイギリスの田舎景色をみるのは、最後かと思うと、少しかなしくなった。
バーミンガム空港でレンタカーを返した。
時々何度かハラハラするシーンがあったが、今回も事故なく無事でよかった。
バーミンガムに一度戻り、Moor Street駅からStratford-upon-Avonに向かう。
ニュースでAvon川が増水して、一部の家が床上浸水したと聞いたので、事前に問い合わせをしたことろ大丈夫らしかった。
このB&Bのオーナーはおしゃべりなフランス人でかなり面白かった。
夕方街に出ると言ったら、丁寧に街の見所を教えてくれた。
We bought some food at Sedberg and left Yorkshire.
To think that this could be the last time I see the English countryside, I felt a bit sad.
We returned the car at Birmingham airport.
We took the last train of the day from Birmingham Moor Street to Stratford-upon-Avon.
Just in case, I rang the B&B in Stratford if it wasn't flooding, the guy said it's perfectly normal to our reassurrance.
The owner of this B&B was really funny, he was a very talkative Frenchman
and when we told him that we're going out in the evening, he gave us a very thorough briefing of the city.
Avon川は洪水。
The river Avon was flooding.
これがRoyal Shakespeare CompanyのSwan Theatre。
And this is the Swan Theatre.
It was closed, being Sunday.
