サムが帰ってきた。
先週の日曜日に彼の祖父は亡くなり、昨日がお葬式だった。
「精神的にとても疲れたよ」と溜息。
夜、サムと一緒にテスコまで買い物をしてくる。
久しぶりに話せてよかったよ。
夜９時、閉館１時間前に図書館に行く。
現在図書館では、写真と絵画の展示が行われている。
全部で３０枚程度の小規模なものだが、
なかなか良い油絵が２枚と、
３枚ほど面白い写真があった。
僕もクリスマスに東京に帰ったとき、街の写真を撮って出展しようと思っていたのだが、
帰国中は、街へいく気が起きなかった。
卒業生も出展できるらしいので、
卒業したら、東京の街の写真を出展しようと思う。
Sam came back today.
His grandfather died last week, and yesterday was the funeral.
"I am emotionally exhausted" he said.
We went shopping to Tesco in the evening, it was nice to talk to him again.
Just before the library closed, I popped into the library and saw the art exhibition currently taking place in the ground floor.
There were about thirty works, paintings and photographs.
There were two paintings and three interesting photos I liked.
I thought I would enter the competition with some photos of Tokyo.
But when I went back there this Christmas, I didn't have the energy to go out to the city.
They say you can participate in the exhibition even after you graduate.
So next year,
I will send off a photo of Tokyo.
