久しぶりにアストン大学の日本人の皆さんと集まった。
集合場所はもちろん、バーミンガムにある唯一日本人が経営しているというレストラン、その名も
イマジン・カフェ！
店のネーミングはかなり微妙ではあるが、
味は確かなものでした。
まだ皆試験が終わってない中来てくれてうれしかったです。
食事を食べる前にYusukeが
「じゃあ、マキさんスピーチお願いします」とか言われかなり困りました。
「特にありません！」と皆の号泣をそそる一言を後輩のみんなに残してあげました。
誰がどの天ぷらを食べるかジャンケンする４人。
Met up with my Japanese friends at Aston.
Needless to say, our meeting place is the Imagine Cafe, the only proper Japanese restaurant in Birmingham.
The name of the restaurant sounds a bit dodgy but the food was excellent here.
Before our order, Yusuke tells me to "make a speech".
I didn't have anything particular to say so I said
"I don't have anything particular to say!" which made everyone cry.
They are doing rock scissors papers to decide who eats the remaining Tempura.
今日はYusukeの友人のYukariさんもきてくれて良かったです。
I met Yukari, Yusuke's friend as well, nice to see you.
かなり美味かったので
これからジャパニーズ・ソサエティの集合場所はイマジン・カフェに決定と言いたい所ですが、
僕はこの夏帰国してしまうので、またここに来れるのは果たして何年後になることやら。
皆に会えてよかったです。
試験頑張ってください。
I like this Imagine Cafe so much that I want to hold all the future Japanese Society's meeting here
but unfortunately I'm going back to Japan this summer, so I'm not sure when I get to come to this place again...
