ふー今週も終わった。
今週は色々と大変だった。
今日は、上司のかたに、ビジネスマナーができていないことと、態度がでかいことを、
かなり厳しく注意されてしまった。
一瞬、心臓にグサっと太い釘が突き刺さったが、その後、しっかりと話をして、
なんとか理解をしていただいた。
今週末は、今日買ったビジネスマナーの本を熟読して、謙譲語を使えるようにしなくてはいけない。
いやー、日本の外資系の会社で働くのは、予想以上に難しい。
外国人に対しては、堂々と話さなくては、自信がないように映ってしまうし、
日本人に対しては、しっかりとした言葉と敬意を持って話さなくては、いいかげんに見えてしまう。
うちのトラちゃんも態度がでかいんだけどなあ。
猫は気楽でいいよ。
Phew, another week passing by.
This week was quite busy.
Today I was scolded for showing no business manners when speaking in the meeting, or writing emails or reporting to the boss etc.
It was quite a strong wording that she used that it kind of hurt my feeling a little,
actually a thick arrow pierced my heart.
But as soon as I got this comment, I discussed this issue with her and now we've reached an understanding, I think.
But over the weekend, I need to read this book that I bought today on Japanese business manners and by next week,
I need to learn how to speak properly to other people...
It's quite difficult working in a foreign firm in Japan.
To the foreigners I need to speak out loud confidently, otherwise they might think that I have no opinion,
but to the Japanese, I need to show respect by using proper words and action.
Well, our cat Tora is quite an arrogant little beast.
Well, you won't understand Tora, you won't.
