V.E.フランクルの「夜と霧」を読んだ。
高校生の時一度読んだが、
今回はまた違った視点で読むことができた。
ドイツのホロコーストを経験した作者が、
心理学的視点により、
強制収容所内の人々の心境について詳細に描かれている作品。
作者は絶望的状況の中で、生存するために必要なものは、
希望を持つことと言ってる。
又、肉体的・精神的な疲労の中、絶対的な愛の存在について記述されている。
ちなみに本の英語名のタイトルは、
「Man's Search for Meaning（人が生きる意味を探し求めること）」である。

I was able to read this story from a different perspective,
since I read it when I was in high school.
The author is a neurologist and psychiatrist and one of the survivors of the Holocaust,
writes about his experience and the other inmates' psychological process during the time
he was in the concentration camp.
He writes that in times of complete depression,
what saves a man is hold on to "hope".
And and in the time of total fatigue and mental destruction,
he still was able to confirm the existence of love.
