Mon. (Marine Day)
今日は海の日。
海の日と言えば山ということで、尾瀬に行ってきた！
Today is Umi-no-hi, or Marine Day in Japan, a public holiday.
But instead of going to the sea, we went hiking in Oze, a popular hiking
area located in North West of Tokyo.
昨夜は、Nonaka-san, Tomoki-san, Daichi-kunと教会に泊まり、朝2時に起床。
2時半にNonaka-sanの運転で教会を出発。
夜中ということもあり、高速はとても空いていた。
We stayed the night over at church and woke up at 2am.
We left the church at half past two as planned.
昨日買った朝ごはんを車で食べ、
戸倉に6時前に到着。
そこからバスに約30分乗り、出発地点の鳩待峠に6時過ぎに到着。
6時20分から富士見峠の方角に歩き始める。
We had breakfast in the car and arrived at Tokura at just before six.
From there we took a bus to Hatomachi-touge, the starting point.
We were doing good with our time, as we managed to start walking from 6:20,
about an hour earlier than we had planned.
早朝のウォーキングはなんともすがすがしく、
ウグイスがひっきりなしに鳴いていた。
そのウグイスの鳴き声に負けていなかったのが、
Kusunoki先生で、ジョークを朝からすっ飛ばしていた。
Kusunoki先生のジョークを朝の6時から聞ける機会はそう滅多にない。
尾瀬は至るところに木道が敷かれており、とても歩き易い。
但し、木道が敷かれていない部分は泥道で水溜りが多く、とても滑り易い。
途中、夜中の1過ぎから歩いていると言う写真家は、「ずっかい(10回)もこけちまったよ」と言っていた。
僕も一度こけた。
The morning walk was nice and refreshing.
Uguisu (bush warblers) was singing like crazy.
In Oze, the footpath are very well maintained,
and usually there are these wooden boards which makes it easy to walk.
But those places with no wooden boards, the ground was wet and very slippery.
I slipped once as well.
このコースは人数が比較的少なく、
尾根沿いで見晴らしが良く、周囲の山景色がとても綺麗で素晴らしかった。
歩くうちに天気が次第に回復し、
「アヤメ平」という展望台では、なんと富士山が見えた。
As we walked, the clouds started to clear.
This route, being not the most popular route for tourists, was nice and
quiet and had a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.
At one of the observatories, we were able to see Mt.Fuji in the distance.
これは僕が唯一名前を覚えることが出来た「ノアザミ」という花。
この季節至る所に見られ、とてもかわいい。
富士見山荘で小休憩をとった際に、
山小屋の人に富士山が見えたことを伝えると、「それはとてもラッキーだった ねー」と言っていた。
富士見山荘を9時過ぎに出て、「竜宮」へ向かう。
この道も泥道ですごく滑りやすかった。
This is actually the only flower which I managed to memorise,
it's called "Noazami"(a kind of thistle). You see them everywhere in this time of the year.
We took a short rest at Fujimi-sansou (which literally means a cottage with a view of Mt.Fuji).
The guy at the cottage told us that it was lucky that we were able to see Mt.Fuji.
We left the cottage at around 9am and headed for Ryugu.
The path to Ryugu was really muddy and slippery.
But it was a fun walk.
今日はI.Kojiが来れなかったので、
代わりにDaichi-kunに犠牲になってもらった(笑）。
As I.Koji couldn't make it today,
Daichi became the target of laughter instead.
竜宮に着いたのは11頃だったと思う。
ここまでくると、人数が多くなる。
当初はここで昼食をとる予定だったが、
日陰がなかったのと、まだ12時前ということもあって、
予定を変更し、竜宮からさらに北にある「ヨッピつり橋」へ歩き続けることにし
た。ニッコウキスゲがとても綺麗に咲いており、景色が本当に素晴らしかった。
If my memory is correct, I think we arrived at Ryugu at around 11am.
There were a lot of tourists (non-hikers) in this area.
We were planning to have lunch here,
but as we couldn't find any shade and as it was still a bit early for lunch
we decided to keep walking North to Yoppi Bridge.
It is the season of "Nikko-kisuge" (orange flowers shown in the photo).
ヨッピつり橋で小休憩をとる。
そのつり橋の上で一枚。
We took a short rest at Yoppi Bridge.
休憩後、至仏山を正面に「ヤマノの鼻」方面へ尾瀬ヶ原を歩く。
この辺りの景色は、360度どこを見渡しても綺麗で、
神様の創られた自然は花びらの一つ一つまで完璧で、
青い空に白い雲、湿原と山の風景が見事に調和していて、本当に美しく感動した。
After the break,
we walked through Ozegahara (high plains) to the west, viewing Mt.Shibutu
in front of us towards "Yamano-hana".
The view around here was just so beautiful.
From the mountains, the plains to the smallest petals of flower,
God's creation is perfect.
The blue sky, the clouds and the view of the wet lands was in perfect
harmony and they were all beautiful.
花畑の木道を歩きながら、エベレストを目指しているYan先生が、
「今日は山登りでもハイキングでもなく、花見ですー」と言ったのが面白かった。
と言いつつもYan先生は、
尾瀬ヶ原を大分歩いたところで、
「あの花はなんていう名前ですかー」と、
これまで1万本は見てきたであろう、ニッコウキスゲを指して一言。
先生、ユリではなくてニッコウキスゲですー！
As we walked through the flower fields,
Pastor Yan, who has an ambition of climbing Mt. Everest someday,
goes "today, we're not climbing or hiking, we're just viewing flowers",
which made me laugh.
「山の鼻」には1時過ぎに到着した。
丁度ランチの時間だったので、辺りは人でごった返していたが、
2つベンチをみつけることができた。
ランチには定番としつつある、カップラーメンを食べた。
やはり山で食べるカップラーメンはうまい！
いつも料理道具一式を用意してくれるKusunoki先生に感謝！
今日はI..Kojiがいないので、
Tomokiさんにもターゲットになってもらった。
さて、尾瀬のハイキングもクライマックスを迎え、
山の鼻から鳩待峠まで約1時間半登った。
鳩待峠には３時過ぎに到着。
尾瀬は本当に素晴らしかった！
After a short stop at Ushikubi,
we arrived at our final destination, "Yamano-hana"(which means the nose of the mountain).
As it was just about lunch time, there were people everywhere.
We found two benches to sit and started to cook noodles, which is becoming our typical lunch.
There's really no better lunch then eating instant noodles in the mountains.
I thank Kusunoki-sensei who prepares everything everytime.
As I.Koji was absent today,
Tomoki also became the target.
After lunch,
we walked back to Hatomachi-touge, where we started.
We arrived at at around 15:00.
Oze was beautiful.
帰り道に「吹割の滝」という所に寄った。
ここで今日の写真の最後の一枚を撮る。
高速に乗る前に、道の駅にある「望郷の湯」という温泉に入った。
疲れを癒して、帰路につきました。
今日は天気にも恵まれ、
本当に素晴らしい一日でした。
神様に心から感謝します。
On our way back, we went to see this waterfall called "Fukiware-no-taki".
And after that, we stopped by at a hotsprings called "boukyou-no-you"to refresh ourselves.
I really thank God for this wonderful day.
It was certainly a blessed day.
