今日はソフィーと東京観光した。
といっても、発想が非常に乏しい僕は、
ありきたりもいいところの、
東京観光地の王道と言っても良い、
アルバイトに例えるとマクドナルド、
の浅草に連れて行った。
浅草と言えば、やはり人形焼き。
４つ入っているのを買った。
しかし、フランス人の口には人形焼きはどうも合わないらしく、
結局僕が３つ半食べた。
それも、雨の中傘をさしながら食べるのは、
富士山をサンダルで登るぐらい大変だった（というのは少し誇張気味）。
もう一つ、
浅草といえば、浅草寺。
しかし、今どうやら改装工事をしているらしく、
寺の外観がまったく見えなかった。
I took Sophie around Tokyo today.
Well, because of my poor creativity,
I chose the most common,
the typical tourist spot in Tokyo,
and analogous to McDonalds - the king of part time job,
I took Sophie to Asakusa.
I bought the famous Ningyou-yaki,
the famous sweets sold in Asakusa.
The one I bought contained four of them,
but Ningyou-yaki didn't seem to fit a French lady's taste,
so I ended up eating three and half out of four.
It was raining,
and eating Ningyou-yaki with umbrella in my hand
was as difficult as climbing Mt. Fuji with sandles (of course, a bit of exaggeration there).
One more typical thing in Asakusa, i.e. the Sensou Temple.
Sadly, the facade of the temple could not be seen,
as it was being renovated and was covered with some garment.
昼飯には回転寿しに連れて行った。
これは、フランス人の口に会ったらしく、
「今まで食べた寿司で一番うまいわ」と言っていた。
非常に光栄でした。
僕は何もしていないけど。
その後、上野まで（雨の中）歩く。
今日は雨なので、
どちらかと言うと、インドア系の場所が良いと思い、
六本木にある国立新美術館に行った。
僕も初めて訪れました。
For lunch,
I took her to a conveyor-belt sushi bar near the temple.
This seemed to have fit the French lady's taste,
she goes "this is the best sushi I have ever had in my life".
That made me really happy,
although I didn't do anything.
After lunch,
we walked in the rain to Ueno.
Thinking that something indoor would be better in such a raining weather,
we went to the National Art Center Tokyo (NACT) in Roppongi.
It was also my first visit.
二つの展示をやっていた。
一つは、「アーティスト・ファイル２００９」というのと、
もう一つは「ルーブル美術館展」だ。
僕はもちろん後者のルーブル美術館展を観たかったのだが、
パリから来たばかりのソフィーは、
鼻で笑って（のような気がした）、「フランスから来たのにルーブルはないわよね」と言うので、
僕は表向き喜んで（心の中では、ショートケーキに乗っているイチゴを食べられた気持ちになりながら）、
「オフコース！」と快活に応えてあげた。
さて、このアーティストファイルという訳の分からない展示だが、
いくつかは面白い作品がありました。
まあ、是非行ってみてください。
さて、展示を見終わった後、
ソフィーはベンチの上で30分程、眠りこけてしまいました。
どうやら時差ぼけで眠たいらしかった。
They were doing two exhibitions:
the thing called "Artist File 2009",
and the other one was "Louvre Exhibition".
Well, of course I wanted to see the Louvre,
but Sophie, who just came from Paris,
scoffed (well, she didn't actually) and goes
"well, I just came from France, no point seeing the Louvre",
to which I replied,
"Of course" with an exclamation mark,
but feeling in my mind that I could not eat the strawberry on my cake.
This random "Artist File" exhibition,
had few interesting works,
I recommend you visit if you have a chance.
After seeing the exhibition,
Sophie fell asleep for like half an hour from jet lag.
僕は時差ぼけはないので、
眠くもないので、
とりあえず、前を歩く人々を写真に何枚も納めた。
As I did not have any jet lag,
I was awake and waited for her to wake up,
and since I was rather bored,
I took many photos of people walking in front of me,
which happened to be quite interesting.
その後、コーヒーを飲みながら、
今後の計画を一緒に建て、
その後教会に戻った。
今日は水曜日で、ちょうど祈祷会があったので、
祈祷会後に、教会の皆にソフィーを紹介しました。
そんな一日でした。
When she awoke,
we had coffee in the cafe,
and together we made her plan for the coming weeks.
In the evening, we went back to church,
and since it was Wednesday, there were a lot of people attending the prayer meeting,
so I got to introduce Sophie to the members of my church.
