今日は海の日。
海の日はやはり山ということで
教会の友人とKusunoki先生とで、
長野県の美ヶ原まで行ってきた。
昨夜は教会に泊まり、
今朝5時に出発。
行きの中央道はスイスイだった。
Today is Umi-no-hi, or Marine Day in Japan, a public holiday.
We went hiking in Utsukushigahara,
which is in Nagano prefecture,
about 4 hours drive from Tokyo.
Last night, we slept over at church.
We left at 5 am to avoid the traffic jam.
白樺湖に9時頃に到着。
今日は素晴らしい天気。
We arrived at Lake Shirakaba at around 9am.
It was a beautiful day.
ビーナスラインからの景色は
本当に奇麗だった。
八ヶ岳の奥には、富士山が奇麗に見えた。
We drove through the "Venus Line",
a road famous with beautiful scenary.
I took many pictures from inside the car.
美ヶ原には10時半頃に到着。
今日は本当に天気に恵まれ、
北アルプスもくっきりと見えた。
We arrived at Utsukushigahara at around half past 10.
The weather was spectacular today;
we were able to see the North Alps in the distance.
美ヶ原を３０分程歩いた。
でも、ハイキングっていう感じではなかったので、
途中、車で通った霧ヶ峰に戻ることにした。
We walked for about half an hour,
then realised that this was not much
of a hiking road.
So, we turned around and decided to
drive back to Kirigamine, where we drove through
on the way.
霧ヶ峰に到着すると、既に1時前だったので、
ランチをすることにした。
僕は定番のカップラーメンを食べた。
It was already lunch time when we arrived at Kirigamine.
I had a cup noodle, my usual hiking lunch.
昼食後、車山に登ることにした。
炎天下で暑かったが、
景色は本当に最高だった。
After lunch,
we decided to hike up Kurumayama (or the "Wheel Mountain")
It was extremely hot,
but the spectacular view made me forget such things.
ニッコウキスゲはもう大分終わっていたけれど、
少しは咲いていた。
This is a flower typical of this season.
車山の頂上は、
東西南北360度の大パノラマだった。
北アルプス、南アルプス、中央アルプス、八ヶ岳、富士山、
すべてみえたーーー。
At the peak,
we had the 360 degrees panorama of the
surrounding Alps.
We were able to see everything.
帰り際には、諏訪湖まで下りて、
温泉に行った（定番だ！）。
西洋旅館風のとても素敵な所だった。
On our way down,
we stopped by at a hot springs.
It was an old western style (like the Roman hot bath).
素晴らしい一日。
A great day it was.
