あなたはわたしの敵の前で、わたしの前に宴を設け、
わたしのこうべに油をそそがれる。
わたしの杯はあふれます。
わたしの生きているかぎりは
必ず恵みといつくしみとが伴うでしょう。

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.

今日、祖父が洗礼を受けた。
夜、母に電話をし、
今日のことを聞いたら、
それは素晴らしい洗礼式だったという。
祖母はずっと泣いていたらしい。
祖父は普段よりもよく話したという。
新幹線の車窓から見える景色のように、
人生の出来事は、次々と過ぎ去って行く。
あまりに早く、
目がついていけない。
遠くの山でさえ、いずれ過ぎ去る。
一つ過ぎ去らないもの。
それは、イエス・キリストの愛だ。
イエスキリストを信じた者は、
罪が赦され、
永遠の命を得ることが出来る。
するともう何も過ぎない。
今日はなんとも喜ばしい一日だ。
主に感謝します。
Today, my grandfather was baptised.
I called my mom at night and asked about the day.
She said, that it was a wonderful day.
Also she said that grandmother was crying all the time
and grandfather was rather more talkative.
Each event in life,
fly out of sight like a view from inside the bullet train.
It's too fast that my eyes can't follow.
Even the mountains in the distance will eventually disappear out of sight.
There is one thing which stays still.
It's the love of Jesus Christ.
All those who believe in Him,
will be forgiven their sins,
and will be given an eternal life.
And nothing moves from there on.
What a wonderful day it was.
I thank the Lord!
