北本福音キリスト教会の青年会と小金井公園でバーベキューをした。
I.KojiとNonakaさんが北本の祈祷会に毎週参加しており、
その繋がりで、遠路遥々うちの教会に来てくれることになった。

青年会長として、ここはせっかく来てくれるのだから、
暖かい歓迎をしてあげなくてはと思い、
文字通り暖かい（いや、むしろ熱い）バーベキューをすることにした。

今日は感謝なことに、これでもかというぐらいのバーベキュー日和だった。

BBQのクライマックスは、
当教会の伝統と化している、スイカ割りだ。
北本の女の子が見事に破壊してくれました。

色々と事前にオーガナイズしてくれた、
Megumiさんありがとうございました。
Yobuさんのコーヒーもおいしかったです。

今度は荻窪から遊びに伺いまーす。


We did a barbecue in Koganei park with Kitamoto Gospel Christ Church youth group.
This event came about through a connection of I.Koji and Nonaka-san who are
attending their prayer meeting every week.

As the leader of the youth group of my church,
I felt compelled to give them a warm welcome,
or rather, hot welcome, by organising a barbecue.

Today turned out to be a perfect day for a day out in the park.

The climax of today's event was the blindfolded watermelon smashing,
which has become our chruch's tradition.

Thank you Megumi-san for organising this visit,
we heartily enjoyed the day.
And thanks Yobu-san for the coffee.

We'll visit you next time.
