1 enter 1 +

I'm having this grapefruit for my night snack.

I lost my old Texas Instruments' calculator,

which I needed for the CFA exam.

I just got a new HP 12C calculator today,

which is one of the two calculators

allowed to bring into the exam room.

This calculator is rather unique,

in the sense that it uses reverse polish notation (RPN).

Using a normal calculator you type,

1 + 1 = to get the answer 2.

But with RPN, you need to type 1 enter 1 +,

which is very confusing.

But supposedly, once you get use to it,

it allows more efficient calculations.

Hmmm, I wonder if it was too risky a decision to make before the exam.
