朝6時に起床。
最近毎日寝坊していたので、
久しぶりの早起きは体の随に響くが、
デボーションが出来てよかった。
Woke up at 6.
I have been lazing around this past one month,
so early wake up was really painful,
but it was good as I got to do devotion.
朝飯は施設の朝食で済ます。
僕を含む参加メンバーの多くは、
無難にトーストやハムが入った、
アメリカン・ブレークファーストを注文したが、
冒険好きでヤンチャなHikaru君とYamamotoさんは、
朝からキムチ鍋をつついていた。
横で白けた表情を見せながらも、若干羨ましそうなKohei君。
We had breakfast at where we stayed.
Most of the members, including myself,
ordered the typical (and boring) "American breakfast",
represented by two slices of toasts, ham and eggs (and organge juice).
However, Hikaru and Yamamoto-san,
who are the most risk orientated amongst the group,
ventured to order Korean kimchi hotpot.
They didn't seem to care that it was 8 in the morning.
By looking at them eat, I was envious.
Surely, there was an arbitrage, as theirs were cheaper,
and perhaps, tasted better.
今日の予定を語る揚先生。
今日は主にソウルの教会巡りだ。
Yan sensei gave us a breifing of today's plan.
We will be visiting a lot of churches in Seoul.
まず来たのが、永楽教会。
通訳の方がとても親切に教会を案内してくれた。
メインの礼拝堂はとにかくでかい。
椅子がびっしり詰まっていて、ここだけで数千人入るらしい。
The first church we visited was Youngnak Presbyterian Church,
located, well, somewhere...
It was a very large church,
and thankfully, they had an interpreter who gave us a quick tour of the premise.
The main building was extremely large,
perhaps capable of housing few thousand people.
教育観と呼ばれる巨大な建物があり、
地下には、1000吊以上が入るコンサートホールがある。
このホールで、少しの間、日曜日に行う予定の
賛美練習をさせてもらった。
The "Education Hall" is 8 or 9 stories high and has 5 floor of basement.
In the basement, there's a large auditorium with capacity of over 1000.
We were granted to practice our worship song in this auditorium.
奥に見えるのが母子室。
You can see the nursery room in the further back.
Yamamotoさんはここに新居を構えたいらしかった。
Yamamoto-san found his new home.
教会を一通り案内してもらった後、
事務局の建物内にある一室で、
お茶とお菓子を頂いた。
とても暖かく迎えて頂いて、本当に感謝。
After the church tour,
we were served with some tea and cookies.
I am thanful for their hospitality.
その後、すぐ近くにある、
カトリックの明洞聖堂を見学。
礼拝堂では丁度結婚式を行っていたので、
細かくは見れなかったが、
歴史のある教会に違いはなかった。
ただ韓国でカトリックはキリスト教とは
違う宗教として扱われているらしい。
We then visited the Myeongdong Cathedral
which was only 5 minutes walk from Youngnak church.
A wedding ceremony was taking place,
so we only had a glimpse of the inside,
but it was enough to learn this catholic church has
a lot of history.
ソウル市内のショッピング街として知られる、
ミョンドン地区を歩く。
We strolled around the Myeongdong district,
which is a popular shopping area.
街の至る所に、日本の地震で被災した人々への励ましのバナーがかかっていて、感動。
I was moved by the banners with warm mesages wishing Japan's recovery
from the earthquake.
ミョンドンのとある細い路地に入った所にある料理屋の３階の
韓国の古い家をイメージしたとても素敵な場所で昼食した。
We had lunch at a Korean restaurant,
where we were served with a traditional course menu.
豪勢な韓国料理のフルコースで、とても美味しかった。
It was delicious.
I liked the atmosphere of this place as well.
再び、ミョンドン地区を歩く。
Strolling around Myeongdong, more banners for Japan.
その後、バスでソウルの西にあるヨイド純福音教会に行く。
バスの中は眠かったあ。
We took a bus from here to Yoido Full Gospel Church,
situated at the west of Seoul.
I doze off in the bus.
ここヨイド教会は会員数がなんと約100万人の世界最大の教会。
礼拝堂もなんと2万5千人が収容出来るらしい。
礼拝堂の中も見学させてもらい、そのでかさにびっくら仰天。
This church has approximately a million members around the world,
and is the biggest church in the world.
The main hall can house up to 25,000 people,
which was staggering.
ヨイド教会からタクシーで、
今急成長を遂げているという、オンヌリ教会に行く。
ちなみに、僕はずっとこの教会の吊前を、
オンドリ教会と勘違いしていたが、それはここだけの話しにしておこう。
オンヌリは、「全ての地、全ての民族《を意味するらしい。
From Yoido, we took a taxi to the rapidly growing Onnuri Community Church.
"Onnuri" means all nations and race.
この教会は、礼拝のスタイルや、
教会内の内装も、非常にヤングな雰囲気を醸し出していた。
This church had a very young and vibrant atmosphere,
with hill-song style worship songs.
カフェテリアでしばし休憩。
Before we attended the worship service,
we rested for a while at a cafeteria.
何よりも、オンヌリ教会の賛美はものすごかった。
賛美の喜びと、力を感じた。
I was really inspired by this worship service.
I felt a joy and power.
メッセージは、韓国語だったので、
正直分からなかった、パワフルだった。
The message was in Korean,
so I couldn't understand anthing,
but still it was powerful.
オンヌリを出た時は、既に夕日が沈んでいた。
ここから、バスとタクシーで、
ソウルの北西部にあるニューソウルタワーに登った。
ここからの夜景は素晴らしかった。
The sun has already set by the time we got out of Onnuri.
We took a taxi and a bus from here to the New Seoul Tower,
which stands on a mountain top at the north of the city.
We climbed up the tower; the night view of the city was spectacular from the here.
Miuraさんは、タワーの下で、
熊とお友達になった。
どういう訳か気が合うらしい。
Miura-san befriended with a bear.
They get along each other you know.
よるご飯は、手巻き寿司を宿泊施設の近くで買って、部屋で食べた。
今日の教会巡りは凄かった。
計画してくれた揚先生に感謝。
そして全ての計画者である主に感謝。
For dinner,
we had hand-rolled sushi for take-out,
and ate it in the room we stayed.
I thank Yan-sensei for planning this day,
and thank God, the planner of everything.
