A day in the life of a Korean Church
韓国の教会での、とある一日
揚先生の派遣教会である広峴教会は、
（僕の記憶が正しければ）一日に5回も礼拝をしており、
第一礼拝の終わる８時半過ぎに、教会に到着。
９時から、教会学校の礼拝が始まり、
僕は５−６年生の礼拝にTakako先生と、
AkariちゃんとShionちゃんと出席。
5-6年生だけでなんと100人以上がいる。
礼拝は賛美がたくさん盛り込まれた、流れを大切にした内容。
礼拝のメッセージもとてもインタラクティブだった。
We spent a day at Gwanghyeun church, where Yan-sensei is delegated from.
If my memory is correct, they hold five services a day, two in the morning
and three in the afternoon.
We arrived just after the first morning service at around 8:45.
We joined the children's service; I attended the 5-6 graders service,
with Takako-san, Akari and Shion.
This alone has more than 100 children.
It was a very lively service with many singing and dancing.
A pastor's sermon was very interactive too.
初めて来たAkariちゃんとShionちゃんは、
プレゼントとして、キャリーバッグをもらい喜んでいた。
Akari and Shion were happy with their presents.
大人の第二礼拝が始まる１１時まで時間があったので、
６階にある、談話室でしばし休憩。
この談話室は５年前に設け、
平日は一般開放しており、
本格的なコーヒーや紅茶、軽食を非常にリーゾナブルな
価格で提供しているらしい。
近所の住民が頻繁に利用しているらしい。
図書館もあって、とてもリラックスが出来る。
As we had some time until the second morning service which starts at 11,
we had coffee at this common room on the sixth floor.
This room is opened to the general public during weekdays,
and since it was built five years ago,
many people were led and connected to church throush this ministry.
There is also a small library, where you can relax.
礼拝では、隣にKim先生や通訳の方が座ってくれて、
メッセージを翻訳してくれた。
ハングル語で歌詞が読めないので、賛美が歌えなかったのが残念。
日本の地震のための献金の時に、
前に出て、「君は愛されるために生まれた《を韓国語で賛美した。
During the service, Kim-sensei and other church members who were able to speak Japanese
sat next to us and translated the sermon, which was really helpful indeed.
I should have studied Hangul before I came,
as I couldn't read the lyrics of the worship songs, which was sad.
During the offering time, we stood upfront and sung
a famous worship song in Korean.
7階（だったかしら）には、食堂があり、ここで毎週日曜日に500食以上を作るという。
今日のメニューは韓国風そうめん。
さっぱりとした味でうまかった。
韓国人は、スープの色が真っ赤になるほど、
キムチを入れて食べていた。
There was a large cafeteria (I think) on the 7th floor,
where more than 500 meals are prepared each Sunday.
Today's meal was Korean somen (very thin noodles).
I liked the light taste,
but Korean people like to put many kimchis inside,
in which case, the soup turns all red.
１３時から青年会の礼拝に出席。
同時に地下２階では、大学生の礼拝が持たれていた。
青年の礼拝は、賛美を最初に５〜６曲歌い、
その後、青年担当の牧師先生である王先生がメッセージを取次いでくれた。
となりには、日本語がぺらぺらの青年が座ってくれて、
完璧に通訳してくれた。
僕はその内容をかなり上完璧に右隣に座っていたYamamotoさんに伝言した。
I attended the youth group's service from 13:00.
Concurrenlty, another service was taking place for the university students.
We sung many worship songs, followed by a sermon by a youth pastor Ou.
Again, an interpreter sat next to me, who perfectly interpreted
the sermon. I then imperfectly passed down the message to Yamamoto-san
who sat next to me on the right.
礼拝後１５時過ぎから、青年会のスモールグループに参加。
王先生も交えて、色々と話した。
普段は、しっかりとした本に沿って進めているらしい。
After the service, I attended the small group.
Pastor Ou joined as well.
We had a very interesting conversation covering many topics
including difference between the churches in Korea and Japan,
work and faith, etc.
They say, on a usual sunday, they use a proper text book.
少し早めの１６時半過ぎに夕食を頂く。
凄く豪華な料理を教会の方々が用意してくれ、
教会の長老達（所謂役員の方々）も出席され、
凄いもてなしでした。
お土産に、韓国海苔と塩を頂いた。
感謝ですー。
We had an early dinner from 16:30.
It was a wonderful dinner,
it was such a warm welcome which we have received.
We were presented with some sourvinirs as well, Korean "nori" (seaweed laver) and salt.

広峴教会を送迎バスに乗って出て、
この教会にたどり着いた。
韓国を代表するプロテスタント教会の一つという揚先生の
説明は覚えているが、肝心な教会吊は失念してしまった。
The church gave us a bus ride back to our accomodation.
On our way back, we stopped at this large protestant church,
it is supposedly one of the representative churches in Seoul,
but unfortunately, I fogot the name.

一度、宿泊施設に荷物を置いてから、
夜８時頃、ソウル駅の横にあるロッテマートにお土産を買いに行く。
ロッテマートの横には、
日本の地震のための募金バザーが開かれていて、感動。
Once we dropped our luggaged in the accomodation,
at 8pm, we went back to the city to do some last minute shopping
at Lotte Mart, a supermarket adjacent to Seoul station.
At the station, there was a donation bazar taking place,
I was very moved by that.
小腹が空いたので、
ロッテマート内にある屋台で、
おでんとトッポッギを食べる。
辛くて美味しい。
１１時過ぎに施設に帰ってきた。
感謝ー！
As we were hungry, we snacked inside the supermarket.
We tried out oden and Tteokbokki, both were very spicy.
We got back to our accomodation at around 11pm.
A great day.
