今日は２週間に一度のビジネス・ゲームの演習。
先週のチュートリアルで決めた通り、生産量を増やすため新たな工場を３５０億ポンドでイタリアに建てる。
今日で一年目が終わった。当初僕が建てた計画では、一年目に１０億ポンドの赤字を出してしまう計算だったが
予想以上の売り上げで、なんと１２１億ポンドも利益が出た！
株価も暴騰し、一株4.9ポンドでクラス一位だ！
うちのチームはチーム・ワークがとてもいいと思う。
僕は戦略にはあまり手を入れず、とにかくファイナンスの意思決定に集中する。
社長のアンディが価格を毎回微調整し、
ステファニーが、材料を安く買えるよう先生と交渉する。
イタリア人はねぎるのがうまいのだろうか。
「お願い、お願い、お願い、お願い」 シンプルだが結構効果的なんだ。
「バレンタイン・デーのセールでチョコ買っておいたほうがいいんじゃないの？」
って赤字を出したグレッグに言ってやった。
夜、サム達とチャイナタウンで晩飯を食べる。
今夜もアプリケーション・フォームが呼んでるよ。
Had a business game practical.
As we decided in the last week's tutorial, we bought a new factory in Italy for 350 million to increase our production.
Having finished the first year of the game, our profit was considerably higher than we anticipated.
According to my plan, we were to make 10 million loss in the first year, but ended up with 121 million profit!
And our share price almost five folded to 4.9 pounds a share, the highest in class! How I wish this was real.
One of the interesting things about this game is that you can negotiate your material cost with the tutor.
Stephanie is doing quite good on this, "Oh please please please please ... " she would say. Simple, but effective.
I guess Italian people are negotiators by nature.
"Maybe it's wise to buy some chocolates during the Valentine's sales period"
I adviced Greg, who made a ridiculous loss. Hehe.
At night, went out for dinner to the China town with Sam, T and Judith.
Damn, I hear application forms calling me again.
