             JAPANESE

Saturday

Left Binou's place around ten.

Went to 'Musee d' Orsay', I have been looking forward to this.

Paid 5.50 euros and I got in around eleven.

Went up the steps to the very top fifth floor and started my way down.

Their collection of impressionism paintings were amazing.

They had my favorite painting of Renoir, one that I remember writing a report on it in my old English class.

All in all, it was lovely, I am coming back here again, for sure.

The building seemed quite new, I wonder when they built it.

Had some croisssants in the cafe.

Got out of Orsay around 3:30 and met up with Sophie at four and went together to the China Town in the south of Paris.

Here, I bought some Chinese sandwitch and a Japanese ice-cream at a supermarket, which I was really happy to eat.

Sophie took me down to  'Place d'Italie' and decided to walk all the way to Luxembourg park.

There was one street, of which name I don't remember, which was so beautiful.

Small indigenous shops and cafes were everywhere, not like in UK where everywhere you go you have the same chain stores.

The apartments were old and beautiful, I loved the plants on the terrace.

And the sky was amazingly blue all the time, was like a mid-summer weather.

Back in Luxembourg park; everybody was stretching out on the grass.

I continued with my 'A Farewell to Arms' of Hemingway, Sophie was studying Chinese.

Stayed here until half past six.

Then I got on to the metro to go have dinner with Sophie's family in Chatillon.

Sophie's family was warm and lovely.

I couldn't speak French nor Chinese, and they couldn't speak English nor Japanese, so it was a bit difficult to communicate.

But they seemed to understand my 'merci' and 'bonjour', so I was happy.

The dinner was great.

Watched 'Laputa' by Hayao Miyazaki with Sandy, Sophie's sister, she loves his films.

Had a lovely evening.

Merci so much!
