                   JAPANESE

'Blow, blow, ye western wind.  Well, it blew and it wasn't the small rain but the big rain down that rained.  It rained all night.'

                                                                                                                                 Hemingway, 'A Farewell to Arms'

The last day in Besancon.

Got up and went down for breakfast.

'Are you from Korea?'

'No I'm from Japan, are you from Korea?'

'No I'm from France'

Muriel was her name, if I remember it correctly.  She broke up a conversation with me in the cafeteria.

She was working in Besancon and have studied in Waseda University in Tokyo for six month as an exchange student she said.

And she's done her degree in Scotland.

She said she's considering moving into India to start a new life.

When I asked why she goes,

'seems less stressfull'.

But I thought French people never felt stress... perhaps it's a highly subjective feeling.

And she recommended me to listen to Radio 4, she said 'it's top', which killed me.

World is full of interesting people you know.

Having said goodbye to Muriel, I decided to just take it easy today.

So I finished off my Hemingway by the riverbank.

Perhaps 'arms' is the representation of a total sadness.

Anyway, said goodbye to this beautiful town of Besancon at five in the afternoon and arrived in Paris at sometimes past eight.

I was invited for dinner at Sophie's and met Binou for the second time.

We had an awfully good time.

Got back to Binou's sometimes around eleven, took a shower and packed.

It has been a wonderful trip, thank you Sophie and Binou, I really appreciate it.

Good night France!
