Although we didn't have this in our initial plan,

we visited 'my' Aston university in Birmingham, as M6, a motor way that leads to the Lake District,

runs right next to the university.

I showed them around the campus briefly, to the Main Building and to the library.

It was nice to show them the place where I studied and where I still belong as a student.

We bought some sandwiches in the town centre and hastily drove up north.

It was a three hours drive from Birmingham to the Lake District.

When we arrived, the sky was a bit overcast but the weather was good enough to do some easy hiking around the lakes.

We were expecting the leaves to be all red, but it was slightly early for that.

Me and my dad took a lot of pictures, my mom was just enjoying the walk.

At around six, we arrived at one of the B&Bs in Keswick.

The room was very clean and 'to the taste' of my dad.
