毎週水曜日に行われる、総理大臣の質疑応答会議を見学してきた。
そう簡単に見学できないらしいのだが、サムが彼の選挙区を代表する国会議員からペア・チケットをもらうことができたので、
今回初めてビック・ベンの中に入ってきた。
かなりセキュリティーが厳しく、ほとんどのところで写真撮影は禁止。
トニー・ブレアや、ゴードンブラウンなどといった、政治家が声を張り上げて、議論している姿を眺めて、触発された。
ブレアとデビット・キャメロンはかなりカリスマ性があった。
サムは政治が好きなので、一日中ご機嫌上々だった。
「将来、総理大臣になっても構わないなあ」
と言いながら、余韻にひたるサム。
そうだね、もし君が総理大臣になったら、コーヒーを一杯おごってもらうよ。
Went to London with Sam to hear the Prime Ministers question time.
Sam managed to get a pair ticket from his constituent's MP.
We saw Tony Blair and many other politicians.
It was very cool.
I was observing how they talked.
Tony Blair and David Cameron were very charismatic.
I had never been inside the parliament.
The security was very stict.
Sam was very happy to see all the politicians, he said
"I don't mind becoming the Prime Minister in the future".
Well, Sam, when you do become one,
buy me a coffee will you?
その後、スターバックスで４時間勉強。
４年生はそうは甘くないぞ。
After the prime minster's question time, we went into Star Bucks and studied for about four hours.
Stupid final year!
