今日は教会の一泊親睦会。
僕が昔から通っている、荻窪栄光教会の歴史と日本におけるキリスト教の歴史の学びを行った。
キリスト教史は、教会のYamamotoさんが、たくさんの資料を用意していただき、少し難しく感じはしたが、
とても勉強になる内容だった。
今僕の教会では、教会堂を立て直す話し合いが少しずつ進められており、
そこで、今までの教会の足踏みを学ぶという位置づけで、創立当初からこの教会に通っている、Ichijuさんにスピーチをしていただいた。
なんともすばらしい内容でした。
夜は、鍋を食べる。
普段は忙しく、あまり話せない人とたくさん話せたので、よかった。
I went to church today, despite being Saturday, as we did a kind of fellowship event.
We learnt about the history of Christianity in Japan as well as the history of our church.
Yamamoto-san and Ichiju san made a well prepared speech - they were both very informative and interesting.
The idea was that since our church is currently planning to rebuild its 50-year old building,
we thought we need to learn the history before talking about the future.
It was very nice to talk to a lot of people whom I don't usually get the chance to speak.
