昼、４２階のレストランでランチ・ミーティングをする。
素晴らしい景色だった。
東京湾、レインボーブリッジ、遠くには富士山までも見えた。
今日はバレンタインデー。
日本では、通常女性が男性にチョコレートとかをプレゼントする日だ。
女性は僕にチョコレートをくれないし、
まんざらここは欧米ではないので、日本の文化に準拠する形で、
僕は誰にもチョコレートなぞあげない訳で、
それ故に、
今日は、いつもと全く変わりのない、
平凡且つ平和な、
木曜日だった。
I had a lunch meeting in a restaurant on the 42nd floor.
The view was spectacular.
I was able to see the Tokyo Bay, the Rainbow Bridge,
and even Mt. Fuji in the distance.
Today was St. Valentine's day.
Which, in Japan, is a day that girls give chocolates to boys,
which is opposite to the western culture, where
usually, the boys give something to girls.
Anyway, for that reason, nothing happened!
I mean, I didn't get anything from girls,
and I wouldn't give anything to girls.
So it was a day just like any other day,
an ordinary, a peaceful, Thursday.
