In the early afternoon, I went to Tokyo Photography Gallery in Ebisu.
Today, I saw two exhibitions: titled "Nippon" by Hiromi Tsuchida,
and "Haptic Literature".
Both of them were very interesting.
Looking at the photographs of Tsuchida of the people in the 1970s to 1980s
I learnt that Japanese used to look rather barbaric than now.
I was moved by the photographs of the victims from the atomic bomb in Hiroshima,
and his last exhibition, which was the moving image of his aging face.
Basically, Tsuchida took a self-portrait photograph almost everyday for the last twenty years,
which now amount to over 8000.
Running these photos in sequence on a screen, you can actually see Tsuchida aging.
By visualising the natural process of aging, I think the concept was to cast some questions over the aging society .
From 6:30, I met Takanobu in Shinjuku.
We met in a train from Vienna to Salzburg.
It's been a while since we said goodbye in Zermatt, Switzerland.
I asked him, whether he still drinks Coke everyday like he used to during his trip,
but he says "no", now he drinks Aquarius everyday, wow what a change I thought.
I asked him how he can take vitamin despite he doesn't eat any vegetables,
he says he eats gummies (Japanese equivalent of Haribo) everyday.
So, all in all, he was still a very strange guy.
Nice to see you, good luck with your job hunt.
