この間の水曜日の帰りの電車の中で、
I.Kojiのイチオシの映画は何かと聞くと、
ブラザー・サン・シスター・ムーンと言うので
今日は、教会の巨大スクリーンを使って、
この映画の鑑賞会を行った。
聖フランシスコが全ての財産を捨てて回心した時の様子、
また聖書のマタイによる福音書（6:25-26)にある言葉を
実践した様子が描かれている。
「何を食べようか、何を飲もうかと、自分の命のことで思いわずらい、
何を着ようかと自分のからだのことで思いわずらうな。
命は食物にまさり、からだは着物にまさるではないか。
空の鳥を見るがよい。まくことも、刈ることもせず、倉に取りいれることもしない。
それだのに、あなたがたの天の父は彼らを養っていて下さる。
あなたがたは彼らよりも、はるかにすぐれた者ではないか。」
最近、物を持つことは、人を幸福にすることが出来ないとつくづく思います。
ただ、なかなか実践するのは難しいと感じるのも事実です。
そのようなことを考えさせてくれる、とても良い映画でした。
Last Wednesday, inside the train I asked I.Koji what was his favorite film,
his reply was "Brother Sun and Sister Moon", story about the life of Saint Francisco.
So, today we watched this film at church, projecting on a big screen.
The film finely depicts the life of Francisco, the time of his conversion,
and how he lived his life according to the bible passage Matthew chapter 6:
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
I have been thinking that possessions cannot make us truly happy,
but I do confess that saying is easier than doing and that I'm struggling putting into action.
The film was good to remind me of those things.
その後、卓球大会をやり、
Chika-chanが、見事「荻窪チャンピヨン」となりました。
晩ご飯には、
「５つ星シェフ」として知られる僕が、
鍋を作りました。
ナイスな一日でした。
Afterwards,
we played table tennis,
Chika-chan became the Champion.
For dinner,
the famous five-star chef, me, cooked hotpot for dinner.
