The Great Central Railway runs from Loughborough to Leicester - a 30 minutes journey. Perhaps it
was the first time I rode on a steam train; I got very excited even before the departure. Inside, it was
exactly like the Harry Potter train; two long seats facing each other and divided by compartments.
From the train window, I could see the scenary of the country side which seemed like streching
forever was just spectacular and the sound of the whistle was so real (it was real !).

In the afternoon, Judith had a picnic arranged with her friends and Judith's mother already had
prepared some sandwiches and pizza and many more! It took about half an hour by car to a nice park
where we greeted three of Judith's friends. This park was really nice as well, it had a river running
through it, nice scenary and what's more, some deer were randomely walking around which appeared
quite bizarre to me. Giving the fact that one has to especially be lucky not to be rained on a picnic
day in Britain, today's was a perfect picnic, extra points gained by the sandwiches that Judith's mother
made for us which was no less scrumptious than the Subway sandwiches!

After the picnic, we went to the Beacon Hill to see more country side. I definitely fell in love with the
English country side I have to admit, could never get tired looking at it.

It was some time past four'oclock that we left Judith's house, but on our way home, they took me to
the hospital to be looked at my eye which was hurting like mad by then. Some ashes got stuck in the
back of my eyelid, and each time I blinked, it was scratching my eyeballs. But all went well, it was a
lovely trip to loughborough and nice to see my friends. Though it was only a 2 day trip, I feel sad now
it's ended. I can't wait till I'll see them next time!
