午後は、眼鏡のレンズを交換するために、Bootsでまず視力検査を受ける。予想通り、視力はかなり落ちていた。
Bootsの眼鏡売りコーナーは最悪だった。全体的に割高の上、セールズの人が、かなりずる賢かった。ならべく、安くしたいとのこちらの
意向をまったく聞こうとせず、最後まで安いレンズがあることを僕に隠していたのだ。また、Boots自体のサービスも悪く、NHSのクーポンが
あればレンズは無料になるはずだが、ここでは最低でも２０ポンドかかり、さらに交換する時の手数料として２０ポンドも徴収する。また
レンズを交換するだけなのに、１週間もかかるといわれ、「その間不便だろうから、やっぱりフレームと一緒に買え」だって。なんのこっちゃ！
「完全に無料でできると思ったのですが」と聞くと、「そんなうまい話があるわけないだろ」と言われ、どうも怪しいと思い、一回店を出て他の
メガネ屋に行くと、無料でやってくれると言うではないか！それも、レンズの交換はたった１時間でやってくれると言うではないか。
本当に騙されなくて良かった。Bootsは最悪だ！

In the afternoon, I had an eye test at Boots Opticians - I've been feeling my eye sight has deteriorated since I came to UK and so
wanted to change the lenses. The shop at Boots was horrible. This sales guy tried to rip me off by trying to sell me the most expensive
lenses that they got, one of those posh ones. It might be natural for any sales person to do, but what made this guy bad was that he hid
all the other info, that there was cheaper lenses, cheaper frames, and all that. His intention was quite obvious so I left the shop and went
to other shop in town. Vision Express was the best, they charge nothing on lenses if I had the NHS voucher, which I had, and also you get
£29 discount on any frames. I'm so glad that I didn't buy one at Boots. Boots sucks!
