When my grandfather in Fukuoka heard from my dad that I'll be studying
photography from the end of September at a local college,
he sent me his SLR camera, together with the two lenses.
The model is called Olympus OM-2, which was first sold thirty years ago
and according to my dad, it's a revolutionary camera.
Although I didn't have any film inside, I took many empty shots, for it
makes such a wonderful analogue sound.
Despite its classical design, I found it to be extremely smart with its
various functions.
I'm going to study photography from scratch with this new frind of mine.
Thanks grand-dad, you're grand!
For a moment, I was in a state of utmost felicity, with a rice-cookie
in my hand, which was in the box with the camera.
