I felt like taking some photos in the bustling city, so I
decided to go to London today.
I got out of the Waterloo station and walked along the river Thames to
the east.
It was an early Autumn weather; the air was quite chilly so brought my
sweater with me just in case.
I enjoyed the walk, passing the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the National Film
Theatre etc.
I could see the St. Paul's Cathedral and the Canary Wharf in the
distance.
I arrived at the Tate Modern museum at around 12.
The exterior and the interior design of this building was quite a
contrast.
The exterior looked like an old factory, so I had difficulty finding it.
I saw the permanent collections in the third and the fifth floor.
I walked around with the audio guide, which I found it very interesting.
I ate my hand made sandwiches inside and spent around three
hours in the museum.
I got out, crossed the river, passed the St Paul's Cathedral and walked
all the way down to the Trafalgar Square, takins photos along the way.
I wanted to buy some second-hand books, so went up to the Leicester
square and spent about an hour going in and out the bookshops.
I bought a book called 'Something Happened' by Joseph Heller for four
quid.
Feeling chuffed with my book, I went to the Regent Street to
take a peek inside UNIQLO, a branch of Japanese clothing shop.
Despite the rumour that this shop is not making any profit (wonder
where this rumor came from) the store was full of people.
I wasn't gonna buy anything, but ended up with a pair of trousers in my
hand.
I then went down to the Picadilly Circus, to buy some Japanese food at
Japan Centre.
I bought 3.5kg of rice and some random other things which are
absolutely essential in my cooking life.
Oh I certainly missed this excellent customer service, this is the way
to go you know.
Damn I can't wait to eat this rice I bought, but now I really need to
improve my cooking (well, I mean improve 'further').
