最近よく自分の仕事や将来のことについて考える。
はて、自分はどうして働いているのだろうと思うし、
一体人生の目的は何だろうとも考える。
ふと、留学する前Nakajima先生にいただいた、ウィリアム・バークレーの本を手に取る。
「最終の目的は神に会うことである」と書かれていた。
そうか、なんともシンプルな、なんとも、明確な目的だろうか！
なんというすばらしい完成だろうか！

I think about my future these days.
And I often wonder what I'm working for.
For what purpose do I wake up every morning,
and work from morning till night?
By chance, I took out a book given by Pastor Nakajima before I left for the UK.
It's a book written by William Barclay.
In it it says, "the final goal is to meet God".
How simple and unequivocal.
