JPN

I decided to take it easy today, as I was tired from yesterday's long hiking.

I took a train to Gornergrat, an observatory.

I only bought a single ticket, as I planned to hike on my way down.

Takanobu came along with me.

The panorama view from Gornergrat was beautiful.

The weather was even better than yesterday.

After having coffee with Takanobu, I said goodbye to him, this time for real.

He went down on the train and I hiked down.

Goodbye Takanobu!

I really enjoyed his company, perhaps we'll meet again in Tokyo.

This hiking route was easier than yesterday's, as most of the snow has already melted.

But being still out of the season, I was the only person walking and I felt a bit lonesome again.

But I had to enjoy every second of this beautiful scenery, a pleasure that only by walking I can enjoy.

I climbed down overlooking Matterhorn in front of me.

When I stopped walking, it was so quiet and I felf the vastness of the nature.

I had a sandwich at Riffelberg and walked down back to Zermatt via Riffelalp.

In the evening, I had to think where to go tomorrow.

I was planning to go to south of France, perhaps to Marseille or to Nice,

but both of those places had bad train access (especially because my Eurail pass didn't cover Italy).

So at the end, I decided to skip France all together and go to Barcelona directly.

It looks like it'll take about 13 hours...

I have to wake up early tomorrow.
