この前の日曜日、教会にある本を忘れたので、
仕事後、教会にそれをとりに行った。
すると、Kusunoki先生とKim先生が暖かく迎えてくれ、
スイカを御馳走してもらった。
今年食べたスイカの中で最も甘くおいしかった。
そう伝えると、
甘いスイカを選ぶ秘訣は、
Junsou君のお腹をポンと叩いた時の音と同じ音がするスイカを選ぶことと教えてくれた。
Junsou君がスイカを買う時に隣にいてくれなくては駄目な訳で、
とても役に立ちそうで、役に立たないアドバイスだ。
今、韓国から若者宣教団が来ている。
会うのが楽しみだ。
I forgot a book last Sunday at church,
so I had to go to church on the way back from work.
Kusunoki-sensei and Kim-sensei warmly welcomed me and
they gave me some slices of watermelon.
It was the sweetest watermelon I've eaten this year.
When I told them that, they said,
the secret to choosing a sweet watermelon is to choose the one
that, when knocked, sounds similar to knocking Junsou-kun's (Kim-sensei's son) stomach.
Which is a very useful advise indeed.
There are currently young group of missionaries from Korea staying at our church.
Looking forward to meeting them.
