今日は、夏にある教会学校(CS)のキャンプの下見に、Yoshida家とNobutsuguさんと奥多摩まで行ってきた。
昼飯には、おそばを食べる。
日本に帰ってきてから一年近く経つけれど、
いまだに、やっぱり日本食はさっぱりしていて、うまいなあと思う。
さて、今年も夏は、奥多摩のバイブルシャレーで行うが、
今年は、宿泊施設の裏山をハイキングできないか、実際に歩いてみて、どんな感じか調べた。
予想以上に、道は険しく、急で、
荻窪栄光教会の仮称「メタボ部」の部員2人は（まだ僕は部員には入っていない）、結構きつそうだった（笑）。
キャンプの下見のはずが、登っている途中で目的が変わり、
「自分との戦いになってしまった」とKenichiさん。
With Yoshida family and Nobutsugu-san, we went to Okutama today to pay a visit prior to this year's Sunday School's summer camp.
We had soba for lunch.
It's been almost a year since I came back to Japan, but I still think that Japanese food is so healthy and delicious.
This summer, we've chosen Bibile Chalet in Okutama, the same as previous years.
As we're thinking of doing a bit of hiking, we wanted to know how the hiking route is like.
The path was really steep and quite rough at times.
Kenichi-san and Nobutsugu-san who are thinking of launching a new
group in our church called "Ogikubo metabolics", seemed to be struggling a little.
By the way, the word "metabolic" is now very popular in Japan, it refers to people who're overweight and unfit.
区切りのいい場所まで登り、
奥さんに電話をかけて、近くの道路まで迎えに来てくれないかと頼むKenichiさん。
しかし、Kenichiさんが車の鍵をもっていたので、彼の思惑は失敗に終わる。
When we got to this place,
Kenichi-san called his wife Mariko-san, and asked whether she can drive up to the nearby road to pick us up.
But since Kenichi-san had the car key with him, his plan failed.
頑張れ「メタボ部」！

小学生の低学年、中学年にはちょっときついという結論に達した。
バイブル・シャレーに帰ると、そこで今キャンプをやっている外国人の方々が、
おもしろそうなゲームをやっていた。
少しゲームのやりかたを教わり、山登りをやめて、そのゲームをぜひ参考にさせてもらうことにする。
何のために山に登ったんだー！！？？
We came to a conclusion in the end that hiking would be too demanding for the small kids.
When we came back to Bible Chalet, there were some other group playing some game.
We asked how the game works and decided to pretty much copy the idea and play this game instead of hiking.
So, today's hiking ended up as a shape up exercise.
帰りに、Yoshida家がうちによって、コーヒーを飲みながら、談話する。
Yoshida family stopped by at our house.
Kohei君はどうやらうちの猫が気に入ったようだ。
Kohei liked our cat Tora.
