美しい天気だ。
朝食後、施設から歩いて5分の所にある、スキー場に行く。
Today was a beautiful day.
After breakfast, we went out to the skiing ground (a short five minute walk),
そりで遊んだ。
そして、かまくらを作った。
雪が固かったので、これは非常に労力のいる作業だったが、
なんとか、子供が二人入れる大きさのかまくらが出来た。
Miura先生までも入れるというその大きさには感動した。
昼食はカレーだった。
We played with the sleigh, which was quite exciting.
We even made a snow hut, which was very labour intensive, especially with the icy-snow making it difficult to shovel.
But we made it big enough to fit two people inside.
We had curry for lunch.
午後、Kenichiさんが持って来た材料で、凧を作る。
皆、凧に絵を描いた。
僕は、I.Kojiの似顔絵を描いたが、あまり似はしなかった。
In the afternoon, we made kites with the kit that Kenichi-san brought with him.
Each was responsible for designing their own kites - I drew a face of I.Koji as shown below.
凧はあがらなかった。なぜだろう、バランスが悪いのか、
それとも、I.Kojiを描いたのが悪いのか（笑）
竹馬でも遊んだ。
I.Kojiは「エルビス」という新しいあだ名が出来た（竹馬に乗っている時に、エルビスのように踊ったため）。
My kite didn't fly... don't know why,
perhaps it was unbalanced, or perhaps of my drawings... haha
Then we played with the stilts, from this I.Koji got a new nickname, i.e. "Elvis" (from how he walked with the stilts).
帰りはゆったりとバス。
４時間は結構長かった。
無事到着できて感謝。
We took the bus back home, a four hour ride back to church in Ogikubo.
素晴らしいキャンプとなったことを神様に感謝。
I'm thank God that it was a great trip.
