今日は秋分の日で会社は休み。
朝は、教会に行き、関東教区シニア部の秋季研修会に行ってきた。
対象はシニア部だったけれど、
とても面白そうな内容だと思ったので参加してみた。
というのも、今日招かれた講師である松岡先生は、
江戸時代の初期にはすでに存在していたという記録があるほど、歴史を持つ
お寺に生まれ、お坊さんだったが、あることをきっかけに、
クリスチャンになったという人だ。
一体、父親が１１代目の住職となるそのような家系に生まれながら、
どうやって、イエス・キリストを信じるようになったのか、とても興味があった。
午前は、松岡先生がクリスチャンになるまでの人生についての話があり、
午後は仏教について学んだ。
素晴らしかった。
Today was a holiday, autumn equinox day (there are many holidays in Japan...).
In the morning, I went to church to attend
an event organized by the Kanto Region Senior Group.
Well, I don't belong to the senior group, but I thought it's worth attending
today's event, as it sounded very intriguing.
The speaker we've invited today used to be a monk,
not just an ordinary monk, but he was brought up in a renowned temple,
but has now become a pastor.
I really wanted to know how he, Pastor Matsuoka, became a Christian.
In the morning, he spoke about his life of being brought up in a buddhism environment
and how he was led to believe Jesus Christ.
In the afternoon, we learnt about Buddhism, in quite detail.
It was very very interesting.
さて、午後３時過ぎに教会を出て、
教会のキャンプをオーガナイズした青年の皆で、
Miuraさんのお宅にお邪魔した。
御馳走をいただき、暖かな一時を持った。
I left church at half past three and went to visit Miura-san's house
with youth group who organised the church camp.
Miura家は予想通り、本当に賑やかで、暖かな家庭でした。
