午後、教会総会があった。
一年に一度、来年度の教会予算案、役員の選任や様々な計画について話し合い、決議をとる場。
今回の重要なテーマは、昨年に続いて、教会堂の建築についてでした。
本当に様々な意見が飛び交い、ヒートアップしたけれど、
素晴らしい分かち合いの場だったと思いました。
これから、神様が荻窪栄光教会を通してなさろうと思っているそのご計画に、
期待し、楽しみで仕方ありません。
There was an Annual General Meeting today at church.
It a time to talk about the budget, make elections of the board, as well as take vote for
various events and plans for the next year.
Well, following on from last year, the main topic today was about rebuilding our church.
There was a heated debate, both positive and negative,
but all in all, I think it was a great time to have fellowship with the members of the church,
and personally, I have yet again be reminded that placing God first above all things is the answer to everything.
I'm so looking forward to what God will do for our church in the coming years.
さて、総会の後、家に帰ろうとしていると、
今日は現在神学校で学ばれている田中先生のためにディナーを用意するというので、
それに急遽ジョインさせてもらった。
今日は僕の誕生日でもあったので、
皆で祝福してもらいました。
生まれ育った教会で誕生日をお祝いしてもらうことほど、
うれしいことはありません。
感謝溢れる気持ちで、
帰路に就きました。
After the meeting, as I was preparing to go home,
I've been told that dinner will be served for Pastor Tanaka,
who is currently learning in the bible college,
and I decided to join.
And it happened to be my Birthday today so everyone sung happy birthday for me,
and I felt so happy.
It was such a blessing.
Feeling so thankful and warm,
I took the journey back home.
