JPN

Friday

I did my washings (thanks to Rosalie for letting me use the machine) in the morning.

While Mike was at work, I just decided to take it easy today (I didn't have much money left anyway at this time).

Rosalie went to visit a prison in the afternoon, which she does it every Friday.

She meets the inmates there and do bible study class.

I learnt a lot from Rosalie and Mike by looking at their faith in Christ.

There were a lot of fruit trees in the garden.

I had a lot of plums while I was staying, they were lovely.

Rosalie would use these plums and cook cakes, it was very tastly.

When Mike came back from work at 4:00, we drove into Darmstadt.

Merck, one of the biggest and the oldest pharmaceutical companies in the world, is actually headquartered in Darmstadt.

There's a street called Merck Street where the company was first founded.

This is the city centre, with a statue of Ludwig I in the middle.

Mike plays guitar, actually, the guitar that I have was bought from him.

Mike bought a guitar case.

Mike with his new guitar case.

We came to this place called Kunstlerkolonie (Mathildenhohe Artist's Colony), where they was a Russian orthodox church standing on top of a small hill

and a monument, "the five finger tower" and there was also this weird billboard...

Bollywood Productions, Mathilda?? what was this about...

And afterwards, Mike took me to this colourful apartment in Darmstadt.

It was cool.

We actually went inside of this apartment and found out that we can go outside on the roof.

From here, we could just see the city of Frankfurt in the distance.

Mike's tour of Darmstad continued, we tried to sneak into Merck's HQ, but we got cold feet.

Mike pretty much knew everything about this city,

even where these endangered drinks were sold.

I haven't had these for ages...

"Can you handle the taste?"

Then, we decided to indulge ourselves with Mcdonald's.

I ordered a cheese burger and a chiken burger.

So, this was our dinner, can't be healthier than this.

To finish this day off, we watched this old English comedy series called the Fawlty Towers.

I have never watched this one, it was so hilarious, we laughed big time.
