Since my flight was departing late in the evening, I had time to tour around Barcelona during the day time.

I noticed on the map that there is some kind of an observatory in the north of the city.

I walked up to the hillside and from there, a train brought me to the top.

There was an amusement park at the summit and a catheral, which was rather a mismatch.

There was an elevator in the church, that brought me up to an observatory.

And from the observatory, there was spiral stairs, which brought me even higher.

The view from this point was spectacular, I thought this must be one of the highest points in Barcelona.

From here, I could see that to the south of the city there's the sea and to the north there's the hills.

I got on the train again, down the mountain.

I walked to the south for about half an hour to Park Guell.

This park was designed by Gaudi.

In the park, there was a quirky looking monument and Gaudi's house.

The columns of this monument reminded me of the nave in Sagrada Familia.

Gaudi's house was very interesting as well.

From Gaudi's office, Sagrada Familia could be seen and I imagined that he must have imagined how it will look like in the future.

From Park Guell, I walked towards the south, and ate a baguette and some peach.

.

And the kids... what about? you want to hear?

Well, these kids in the park were playing with this ear-breaking gunpowder toy.

I don't quite know how it works, but it's like fireworks only it just give you the sound.

It is imcomparably noisier than the ones sold in Japan, year, it sounds like gun shooting.

I was surprised to see this old people sitting quite calmly on the benches in the park,

giving no heed to these kids mischiefs, they must be used to it by then.

If that was a Japanese elderly person, he would die of heart attack.

I got on the train from Joanic and got off at Jaume I.

Jaume I, what kind of name is that I wonder.

From Jaume I, I walked for about 15 minutes to Picasso Museum.

They had loads of paintings from his early days to the late cubism paintings,

and one can see the change in his painting style.

In one of the large rooms, there was Picasso's imitation of Velazquez' Las Meninas.

I literally laughed out loud with his unique interpretation of Velazquez.

I got back to my hostel at six, and took my luggage and went to the airport.

I was told at the check-in counter that the plane is three hours late.

Three hours late...

But they gave me this 'snack voucher'.

It didn't have up to what amount one can spend, so I decided to give a rather wide interpretation of the term 'snack' and

went to the hamburger shop and orded the most expensive meal deal.

The lady at the cashier look at my vouhcer and was almost going to say something, but befoer she did I went,

'hamburger is a snack right?'

The plane departed at two in the morning.

Two in the morning...

To think about it, it was a very exciting trip,

travelling all the way from Prague to Barcelona, you can only do this kind of thing when you're young.

Travelling alone is a wonderful thing.

I was able to think about deep topics that I would not think about in my everyday life.

I shall try not to forget them.

I shall treasure them.
