今日から二日間、ビジネス・マナー研修を受けることになった。
場所は原宿駅から歩いて１０分程いったところにある,JALアカデミー。
いまだ仕事は暇なので、研修に参加できることは、素直にうれしい。
開始時間の１０時まで少し時間があったので、近くのカフェでコーヒーを飲む。
やはりここもタバコの匂いがした。全く嫌になる。
今回研修に参加したのは、全部で１５人。今回はそれぞれ色々な業界の会社の人が参加した。
ものすごく元気なおばさんが、ジャパニーズ・ビジネスマンの基本を教えてくれた。
名刺の渡し方がこれほど複雑だとは知らなかった。僕はまず、名刺入れから間違っている。
僕の名刺入れは美容院で宣伝用に配っていた、派手な、オレンジのプラスチックのやつだ。
ただでさえ、ネクタイが長すぎることと、ズボンにプレスがかかっていない点を駄目出しされたから、
これで名刺入れを出したらものすごいことになりそうだったので、隠しておいた。
その他、歩き方、お辞儀の仕方、物の渡し方、挨拶の仕方、場所の指し方、などなど
一体どうして日本のビジネス・マナーはこんなに細かいのだろうと思わされるほど、
細部まで徹底的に教えられた。
明日はどんなことをやるんだろう。。。
I've attended a business manner seminar today organised by JAL Academy.
I'm happy to get out of the office for a change of mind. As my work is still very calm (perhaps too calm),
I arrived a little early, so I went into a cafe and ordered a black coffee.
This cafe too smelled of tabacco, which was a shame.
A total of 15 people participated in this event, mostly from different companies and
different industries.
The trainer were vibrant ex-flight attendants. They taught us how to give out business cards,
how to bow like a professional (trust me, it's more complicated than you might think), how to walk,
how to greet people, hot to direct people to places, how and what to wear, how to give out things etcetc.
I didn't know that giving out business cards was such a complicated process. Japanese
business manner must be the most complicated, being deeply intwined to its culture.
Tomorrow will be the second day. I'm scared now.
