これがこの前の教会バザーで買った、トースター。
デザインは、最新のトレンドを取り入れた斬新な白！
角に小さく「National」のロゴがはいっっていて、キュートなアクセントとなっている。
何よりもうれしいのが、２枚一気に焼ける気が利いた大きさであること。
さすがバザーだけあって、これがたったの５００円だった。
と喜んで色々と観察をしながら底をみてみると「９４年製」と書かれていた。
素晴らしい！アンティークではないか。
１４年前のアンティークのトースターが５００円とは、ますます賢いお買い物をした気分だ。
唯一不安なことがあるとすれば、それはちゃんと動くかどうかだ。
なーに、トースターの技術なんてここ１００年進歩していないだろう。
でもだから動くとは限らないんだよね...
This is the toaster I bought last saturday at church bazaar.
Look at its modern design! It's beautifully white, rather post-modern in my opinion.
It's got a small "National" (i.e. Panasonic) logo in the corner giving it a cute accent.
What I like the best about this toaster is its size, it's big enough to toast two at a time.
And believe it or not, it was only 500 yen.
I was happily observing this new appliance and realized that it has a sticker in the bottom saying "made in 1994".
Great, even better! it's an antique!
You can't get an antique toaster for 500 yen can you?
Well, the only worry I have, if any, is that it might not work.
But, come on, I'm sure the toasting technology has not developed at all in the past 100 years or so, surely it should work, right?
