午後３時から、Izumiさんのフラットにお邪魔して、ささやかなティーパーティーを決行した。
現在中学校１年生だという、Harukaさんの可愛らしい妹さんのYurikaさんも来た。
このYurikaさん、Harukaさんと同じく、小学校を卒業してからいきなりイギリス留学を一人でしているというからたくましい。
現在、Harukaさんが「インターネットでみつけた」という湖水地方の近くにある、小さな中学校で勉強しているとか。
クラスには４人しかいないぐらい小さい学校で、「まわりには牛だらけ」という長閑な環境で勉強しているらしい。
いいなああ。
自称「人をもてなすのが好きな」Izumiさんが、サンドイッチとピザを焼いてくれ、お腹いっぱいになってしまった。
We held a Boston Tea Party, today at Izumi's flat.
Haruka brought her sister Yurika, who is currently in the 7th grade.
It surprises me that this family (Haruka and Yurika's) sends their daugher to the UK as soon as they finish their elementary school in Japan. How audacious!
So Yurika now studies all alone near the Lake District at a small school that has only 'four pupils' in her class...
She says there's only 'cows and sheep' around the area.
I was quite amazed indeed, a bit jealous even haha.
Izumi, who like to 'treat people' (as she describes herself), prepared for us some sandwiches and pizza.

中学生のYurikaさんがいるので、話題も必然と、「現在中学校ではどんなことが流行っているの」というテーマになった。
なんとか高校ホストクラブとかいうのが流行っているらしい。これには笑った。
火曜日に皆でディナーパーティをやることにし、各自食材を買ってくるよう、Izumi氏に命令された。
僕は餃子の具財を買ってこなくてはいけない。
豚肉を遠くのスーパーまで買ってくるのはめんどくさいので、
牛の挽肉でもバレないかなと思案中。
Yurika being present, our conversation naturally hovered around 'what sort of thing are on the trend amoung the teenagers now'.
It was funny when Yurika mentioned some dodgy Japanese comic book called 'something high school host club'.
It didn't sound like a comic book for teenagers...
We've decided to organise a dinner party this coming Tuesday and Izumi commanded me to buy some ingredients.
I need to cook Gyouza (a sort of dumplings).
